This game has gone into Croatian football folklore. 40 years on whenever any Hajduk player who played in this game is interviewed they always bring up the 2 matches against Hamburg and how they still cannot believe how they didn't go through to the final.
Great game. Nearly 40 years later, Hajduk Split must still be wondering how they didn't make it to the semi finals!
