Bélgica tenía buenos jugadores, pero no consolidaron un buen equipo. Preudhomme, Grun, Scifo, Degryse, Albert, destacaban en Europa. En este partido hizo lo justo para ganar. Smidts y Dewolf no tenían carácter, hubiese preferido a Borkelmans y Emmers en todos los partidos. Nilis....siempre quedó en deuda.
El tipo de campo de juego resultaba completamente anti-natural para ese entonces. Es uno de mis torneos favoritos debido a mi pero en muchos aspectos fue malo. Amaba Belgica!
