Très bon match, surtout en seconde mi-temps. Les deux équipes se rendent coupables pour coup. Et avec un final entré dans l'histoire
Une très bonne équipe de Tchécoslovaquie en première mi-temps mais qui laisse trop le ballon à la RFA en seconde mi-temps. Toutefois, ils finissent mieux physiquement la prolongation. De grosses erreurs sont commises sur le but de Svehlik, de D.Müller et de Hölzenbein mais cela fait partie du football. Maier et surtout Viktor ont sorti un match de très haut niveau surtout ce dernier malgré sa sortie mal négociée sur l'égalisation ouest-allemande. Quant aux tirs aux buts, merci Monsieur Panenka...
