El partido se rompe en el segundo tiempo porque los suizos se dan cuenta de que no tienen que respetar tanto a Argentina, entonces salen; pero tambien porque Messi retrocedee a mitad de cancha a buscar la pelota, porque gago, que se supone que jugaba para eso, para saltar las lineas, no da pie con bola en todo el partido. Entonces saliendo Messi, sus marcadores tambien se adelantan, y se abre el hueco para jugar con espacios. Lo inexplicable es que Gago jugara hasta los 105 minutos. Los primeros 45 estuvo pintado, y a partir del segundo tiempo jugo un poco mas pero por merito de Messi mas que suyo. Gran partido de DiMaria,
