Des Suédois impuissants et peu offensifs malgré 2 belles occasions en seconde mi-temps avortées par un très bon Pickford. Les Anglais n'ont pas eu trop besoin de hausser leur niveau de jeu et ont fait le job nécessaire pour se qualifier en demie. Les Suédois semblaient n'avoir que peu d'essence dans le moteur au contraire des Three Lions qui eux pourtant avaient eu une prolongation en huitièmes...?!
