Estaba previsto que este partido fuese disputado entre las selecciones absolutas de España y Lituania, pero debido a un positivo por COVID-19 en la delegación española de cara a la Euro 2020, la Federación Española decidió que el equipo sub-21, recién llegado de la Eurocopa de su categoría, disputase el partido. A todos los efectos, la convocatoria era de la selección absoluta y todos los jugadores, excepto Bryan Gil, debutaron oficialmente como integrantes de dicho nivel. / This match was scheduled to be played between the senior teams of Spain and Lithuania, but due to a positive result for COVID-19 in the Spanish delegation ahead of Euro 2020, the Spanish Federation decided that the U21 team, recently arrived from the Euro of its category, should play the match. For all purposes, the call was for the senior team and all the players, except for Bryan Gil, made their official debuts as members of that level.
